Tell Me About the Moon
Orange eye, sinking into the horizon
like a gold coin. Casts shadows and figures—
The moon drags a silver path like hushed embers
for farmers wandering in pairs.
Its brilliant eye washes the tides
where the ocean once slept.
Light gathers its corners
darkness forgets.
Secrets rise from the loam
answer the prayers we never ask.
