"... brevity is the soul of wit ..."
- William Shakespeare

Bio

Edward Baranosky has painted since he was seven years old. His focus on marine-scapes, draws him back to visit his native home in the American east coast, for inspiration from the North Atlantic. His work emphasizes the present - in the ever-changing moments of water. As a poet-artist he crosses the channels and pathways between the visual and the textual.

Getting Here III

In the Garden where All Love ends
We wait for the children to return,
And to wonder, someday, again soon
So, you compose postcards to yourself
In the spectrum of the sea.

Your memory divides and heals
The absinthe measures into sifting
Memoires of a sand clock,
Touching an hourglass of night, your
Nowhere mirror otherwise empty.
