He works as a freelance copyeditor and writer in Florenceville- Bristol, the French Fry Capital of the World.

it limps
it trips
thrusts its dirty face through the window
sorry I'm late!
but you love
its clumsy loveliness
as it bumps a vase onto the floor
sways around the broken glass
and the wild riot of flowers)
a crude guest
you'd never ask to leave
