Wars and the stories of wars

Raised by parents raised by their
own wars and stories of war

and would I dance with you
just the clumsy way old age might with youth
all angular uninhibited
ourselves and our imagined selves
hearts softened by tears

wars and stories of wars
raised in an awkwardness of survival by their own
wars and the stories of their wars

what about you is beautiful
makes the sun brighter
the night diamonds sparkle?
Ask me I could tell you

Wars and the stories of wars
