Autoportrait
Windchime glint to the greased light painted on my cheeks
Strict symmetry, were a line chalked down my nose
Gargoyle gaze
Insistent rib and nominal chest
Crooked fingers ring-waisted, skin a window to the vein
Tired eye of mottled blue
A smile I brandish like a street swindler's petition
And never wear at home.
