Marie-Andrée Auclair's poems have appeared in several print and online publications in Canada-where she lives-and other countries, for instance Canada (Existere); the UK (The Frogmore Papers); Japan (Tokyo Poetry Journal) and US (The Flagler). She enjoys photography, traveling and dancing.

coves and recesses
ogees, indentations
and seriffed peninsulas:
my fingers dance
on paper as if
skin could taste oceans
touch cool green forests
swallow the heat of ripe fields
and could dive
into the belly of cities.
I lick a finger tip
travel to distant worlds,
desire.
