Light Through Cracks

In the stillness of an ordinary evening,
a laugh escapes-unexpected, bright.
It lingers in the air,
a note held long and clear.

Around the table, eyes lift,
surprised by the sudden warmth
in a room too long cold.

In this small, shared moment,
a fracture in the grief,
hope whispers—
softly,
insistently:
heal.
