Daniel Chan Yee Ann was one of the first participants selected for Singapore's Center 42's writing residency called Boiler Room. His writing has been published in a Trans-Genre Press anthology and Sky Island Journal. He's currently attending to a chronic illness.

bright and dazzling as the inside
of one Chinese snow pear
bit into and held all
the way home from the market.
How easy it is to get drunk
off one brief moment of clarity, then
