Sabrina Stuart Smith writes short fiction and poetry from her home in Toronto. She is a graduate of York University where she received her BA in English; and Toronto Metropolitan University where she studied Book Publishing. She is currently polishing her first chapbook.

no tender-heartedness.
Flood my mind with hints of the intangible promise
but leave me no taste of bliss
always grasping at your finger nails
as you leave me naked and crumbled
in anxious anticipation of our next dance.
When will that be?
A cryptic response, a kiss on the forehead
designed to placate me
lingering nose to nose
I read between the crow's feet.
We won't dance for some time
for I ask too many questions.
