Improper Death

I wore your screams with care
measuring out happiness in bits of sugar
and tea-spoons

those little flames of passion
stitched you in my soul, broke
into deluges when I found a home
in your eyes

ee survived on emotions of yesteryears
the left-overs, and extorted pleasure
from quarrels of a muted routine;
like bleeding gums in a swollen mouth
and our dreams died an improper death.
