Welcome to another issue of Shot Glass Journal. Issue #38 offers our readers a wonderful selection of form and free verse poetry by poets from Australia, Bahamas, Canada, Guam, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Poland, Romania, Singapore, Spain, the UK and the US. New poetry forms continue to be added to our journal, so take some time to check out our Glossary.

Each issue of SGJ I usually add a one-line thank you to our webmaster, Lonnard Dean Watkins. But one line isn't nearly enough to describe the enormity of what he does to get this journal published. Lonnard formats each page of the journal, which usually includes some unconventional poem layouts or foreign language accents. When final selections have been made for the journal Lonnard creates a proof or galley of each poets' page to allow poets to review their pages prior to posting our journal. This is usually followed by last minute changes to poems or bios that need to be updated. Then all of the poets pages from the current issue must be archived to update our Writers Archive, and their names added to the Writers Archive list page. Each issue the Glossary gets updated with new poetry forms published that issue. Then the current issue gets archived for the Archive section of the webpage. Lonnard provides me with a working preview of the journal so I can verify that everything is working correctly. In addition to these tasks, Lonnard is also a member of the editorial staff, and editor of Bent Ear Review. Muse-Pie Press would be completely lost without all of his valuable and selfless efforts.

I'd also like to bring attention to Muse-Pie Press' community poem. In March 2020, Muse-Pie Press invited its poets to participate in creating a world-wide Community poem. We wanted to capture the individual experiences and insights of these poets regarding the Covid-19 worldwide pandemic. There were 220 submissions received from 16 countries. R. G. Rader, publisher of Muse-Pie Press, compiled each line and crafted the poem "Pandemic: A Community Poem", into a poem of seven parts. Please visit the Muse-Pie Press site at www.musepiepress.com.
