Rebecca Ball
when it rains
past the snowline people
wrap themselves in wool
spray themselves in plastic
build bubbles in which to slide
down the side of silver cliffs
down in the town
the roots of mountains
split cracks in concrete
their peaks veiled in fog
their cloud-shrouded snow
when it rains silver streams
down roads through valleys
fills fields and basements
fog and snow flows
turns to grey
