Bio
Ray Malone is an Irish writer and artist living in Berlin, Germany, working on developing a highly-reduced aesthetic through a series of projects exploring the expressive (lyric) potential of minimal forms, based on various musical and/or literary models. His work has been published in a number of print and online journals in the US, UK and Ireland.

Hidden in all: the hollows of his eyes,
the folds in the old photos, the faint crease
of age in the way he smiles, the less firm
hand fastening on to the rail as the ship wrecks, the heart
passing by the aches, ancient now, the missed
beats, the numberless unnoticed, the breaths
exchanged, the gifts freely given, gone, gone,
a whisper, the hint of a grain, rescued
from the sand that streamed through his hands, reaching
his eyes: the irritation of a cry
