Kevin Graham works in Dublin, Ireland. His poetry has appeared in The SHOp, Magma, Poetry Ireland Review, The Stinging Fly, Crannóg, Revival, Abridged and other magazines. In 2010 he was awarded an Arts Council bursary.

Light as a bundle of feathers
she reddened me.
Cradled, I stared down at her,
watching each nuance of movement
nurture nature at arm's length.
Her face lit with awe
from the newness of the images
her eyes ravaged.
She swallowed me like the sky
and breaking my arms
she weighed my heart to the floor.
