In the Blink of an Eye
I stand fascinated to the mirror
Reflecting my eyes like jewels representing existence.
The iris resembling nebulae of a spawning universe
The pupil, a black hole absorbing light withheld from the darkness of space.
In terms of time, all good things to those who wait,
Only to come and go in the grand scale of things.
Where evolution took forever to get to me,
Only to be over in a blink of an eye.
