Six

Sitting in Hebrew school,
wondering how Eve could be so
paradoxically
stupid
enough to
be tricked into
eating the
apple,
and smart
enough to
trick Adam
into eating the apple.
The idea that she wasn't the bad guy
never once crossed my mind.

Anna Zilbermints, a daughter of Jewish immigrants, is a graduate of the University of Iowa in English and psychology, as well as a Russian minor and writing certificate. She is a poet of both the written and spoken word varieties.
