Kit Kennedy
Monday Arrives as a Bowl with Three Questions
After an evening rain, the hillside
awash in green. The verdant
always flings Flora outdoors.
When she returns home the light
on the far wall is ragged as slate
and the house feels like a solo cello
has been playing. How will Flora
shape the retelling of her adventure
to each empty room? Which mirror
will be most sympathetic?
When did it occur to Flora to wear
such a sad shade of gray?
