Connie Johnson
Bedtime Story
I never get tired
Despite no variance in
The plot twists.
My attention never wavers
In fact, turn that page even slower this time
Don't rush the outcome on my account.
I could recite it all by heart
Almost like I wrote it myself
& even though I know how it all ends
No matter.
You're the bedtime story
I'm the child who wants it told
Again & again.
