Juan Pablo Mobili
The Rabbit's Diary
My mother always said
I did not have
the fortitude to live in burrows.
I came from a small town's
garden, where the highlight
was the gossiping of cardinals.
Although the business was cutthroat
the first time I was pulled
out of the top hatwas magic.
But now-it's-just-a-job
the pulling of the ears
has gotten old,
knowing
that the crowd
always cheers for someone else.
