I so dig Bill Evans
His Peace Piece marinating my mind
Mellowing to the mood of the moment

The mellifluous melody of trickling keys
Reflecting the river running within
Before the undertones cut in
Uncovering the carnelian colours concealed beneath

An abscission of leaves falling to a heap on the ground
As I kick through them
Rustling up childhood with the sentimental afterglow of maturity.
