Bio
Wendy Everett is a poet, grandmother, and cat lover who divides her time between Bath (UK),
and Chania (Crete), where she 'runs' a poetry group and, in September 2019, organised the first
Chania International Poetry Festival.
In addition to poems in journals in the UK, USA, France, and Greece, in September 2020,
she published a collection of poems relating to Crete, on the corner of Mastoraki (Ekdoseis Radamanthys).

white – the garden, every twig outlined
the lawn a smooth carpet, though if you
look more closely you'll see tips of grass
poking through like tiny exclamation marks.
it's melting fast, it may be its transience
that hastens the way it segues into a dream
in which ordinary becomes extraordinary
