it speaks a lot
about their persistence
that every night without fail
they chirp as loud as they can
a chorus of voices
entering my list of things to think about
to procrastinate going to sleep.

I convert my late-night thoughts into poetry, using it as a source of journaling and self reflection. I am not a professional, but have a deep appreciation for words and how they can make us feel.
