John McKernan
Today's Eraser
Always wears
Blue ear muffs
Last week's eraser
Tunes its hearing aid
To the day after tomorrow
Last month's eraser specializes in
The noises of sex
Especially
From the sad Lonelies who talk slowly in their sleep
Last year's eraser knows
What's going
To happen
After the historians delete
A few million corpses from a footnote
