Bio


Bianca Bowers is the author of 4 poetry books: Pressed Flowers (2017); Love Is A Song She Sang From A Cage (2017); Passage (2015); Death and Life (2014). She is currently studying a Masters of Writing, Editing and Publishing at UQ, and holds a BA in English and Film/TV/Media Studies. Bianca's poetry has appeared in We Art Friends e-zine, Shot Glass Journal, Tongue In Your Ear, The Art Toppling Tobacco Project, and a trailer for the short film The Avant-Gardener.

I am not myself
For the second winter in a row
But I have shed so much skin
Already

And so I let this miracle
Slither
At its own pace
Wrap its iridescent skin
Around me

Because if this process has taught me anything
It is to trust the mystery
Of morphosis.
