Bio


I was born in the UK in 1969 but grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, where I have recently completed a Master of Creative Writing at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). I have previously published poetry in several journals and collections, and have work appearing in the forthcoming Poetry NZ Yearbook (March, 2018).

Grieving

And then the raven took with it
A black cross and blood-edged clouds
Under which you hid until the next gathering
Of eyeless foxes eaten by trees
Of tears lost to the dawn
And the solitude that comes
