Editor's Note

Shot Glass Journal Issue #12 is one of the most diverse issues we've published.
Our international poets hail from Australia, Canada, Greece, India, Ireland, Mariana Islands, Netherlands, Nigeria, New Zealand, Philippines, Sweden, Turkey, and the UK. Our US poets represent fourteen states. Among the poems in this issue, some are translations from other languages. Poets, whose native language is not English, are also featured.

The poetry in Issue #12 represents a range of poets from undergraduate students to retirees; from novice first-time published poets to award winning, established poets. The poetry includes free verse poetry and a nonce poetry form called Three Cubed poem. There are also formal poetry forms such as Haiku, Lyric poem, Prose poem, Sonnet, Tanka, and Triolet, and three new forms for our Glossary - Riddle poem, Sevenling and Tan Renga.

Shot Glass Journal limits the number of poets we publish each issue. Making the final selections for this issue was difficult due to the volume of quality poets who submitted their work to our journal. We hope you enjoy the selections we made in Issue #12.
