gently to the right, everyday;
sitting across from each other, not a word spoken:

new
girl and
forty five
year old dock worker
sharing the same silences
filling the breakroom with the 15 minutes between them.

years
after
neither could
think of the right word;
reading the Sunday newspaper
all day at the table in their breakfast nook:doing

puzzles
together:
her 1 down:silver
his across: anniversery.
Together they share the language of still unspoken.
