I write crime novels and short stories and used to write stage and radio plays too. In my infrequent serious moments, I write poems but mostly I write to entertain and make readers laugh (and maybe think, but mostly laugh). The flexibility and natural rhythms of Fib poems help even people like me to stay focused and pare the subject down to essentials. So I'm not a poet but this is as close as I get to being one.
