Chris Mooney-Singh, an Australian settled in Singapore has several publications and music fusion CDs to his name. His newest collections are 'The Bearded Chameleon' (2011) and 'The Laughing Buddha Cab Company' (2007). Mooney-Singh's fiction has appeared in 'The Best of South-East Asian Erotica', 'The Best of Singapore Erotica', 'Love and Lust in Singapore' and 'Crime Search'. He is also a noted performance poet and the founder of Poetry Slam in Singapore and Malaysia. He travels trans-nationally and is presently a post-graduate research scholar at Monash University, Melbourne.

The Stormy Anchor
I would like to anchor down with gravity
and stabilse the stormy side of sleep
where I dream myself, looking out to sea.
I would like to anchor down with gravity
and learn some way of swimming from the sea.
I've had enough of stormy sides of sleep.
There has to be a slipway from the sea
to pull up anchor from this gravity
and ring the bell through stormy sides of sleep.
