Mike Dillon
Self Portrait in Charcoal, by Käthe Kollwitz (German) 1934
Behold what time
and the times have done
to this face scoured
as an old mountain.
The war they gave us
murdered my son.
Now they're warming up
another.
Look into my eyes.
Take my hand
and don't let go —
especially at the end.
