Blown Away

The top of her head lifts off
to the violin concerto he renders
restless from his dreaming

Red, yellow and blue notes
splotch alphabets curling
around subterranean gloom

His eye is a target for narrative arrows
His overalls throttle her
to ecstasies of rhyme

A ladder raising the roof leads
to shambolic forest where creeping
opinions invade a red think tank

A lone publisher under a white sky
fossicks for lyric gems hidden
in leaf litter
