Submissions


You may submit to Shot Glass Journal by sending any short poetry sixteen lines or under to musepiepress@aol.com. Short poetry can include short form poetry, free verse and prose poetry. Prose poetry should not exceed ten lines. All poems must be the original, unpublished work of the submitter.

Make sure that what you send is your best work. Please also make sure to type in the subject line "For Shot Glass Journal." Submit your poems and name in the body of the e-mail in plain text. No submission e-mails will be accepted with attachments. If for some reason attachments might be necessary, contact the editor, Mary-Jane Grandinetti, at the above e-mail address first so that a plan can be formulated to receive your submission.

Since Shot Glass Journal features US and International poem sections please indicate in your submission the country in which you reside.

Shot Glass Journal will accept submissions year-round and will publish accepted submissions in three issues to be published over the course of a calendar year. Issues will be posted at the end of the January, May and September, with submissions closing on 1st of the posted months. Due to the limited selection of poets per issue, response to submissions may be withheld until submissions close.
