In the Beginning There Was a Dream

grains of sand
deft fingers
& seas of sweat
a glass/a mirror/a lamp
In the beginning
there was a dream
bit by bit
pain and pleasure
holding out for a dream
grains of sand
gave birth to a glass
dipping fresh water out of a stream
