Bio

Jeanette (she/her) is a geologist, a health coach, a farm kid, a crafting enthusiast, and an unrepentant daydreamer. Her high school English teacher got her hooked on writing poetry and she has been scribbling bits of her soul onto paper ever since, frequently outside of the lines. Jeanette's poems have previously been published in US1 Worksheets, Society Pages, Solicitations: Poetry in Quebec, as well as by Querencia Press, Moonstone Press, and Procrastinating Writers United. Her first chapbook, The Barn I was Raised in will be available from Kelsay Books in the second half of 2026.

heart cottage

on the days you must wall your heart
do not build a fortress
use the rounded stones from the river
leave a window, a door
I'll see you through the frame
sitting by the fire
stitching heart pieces with golden thread
I'll bring tea
we'll finish the mending together
