Harish Yadav is an indian poet and writer known for his lyrical depth and versatile command over Hindi, Urdu, and English literary traditions. He has authored several acclaimed works, including Yugdrishta, a celebrated collection of Hindi poems; Garden of Bliss, a contemplative anthology of his poetry; and Kham-e-Misga, a refined compilation of his Urdu shayari. His book I holds a unique distinction in the India Book of Records for having one of the shortest book titles ever published. With a voice that blends sensitivity, reflection, and timeless aesthetics, Harish Yadav continues to enrich contemporary Indian literature through his distinctive poetic vision.

Height and Humility

In a land overflowing with flowers,
I once arrived quietly as grass.
Even then I heard the trembling music
Of your ancient flute of brass.
When the eyes of my soul opened,
A calm wonder filled my breath.
And in that single wave of rapture,
I rose skyward, defying death.
Blended into a broken garland,
My face bloomed like a lotus in a dream.
The soil once covered me completely,
And I flowed back into its seam.
I will not abandon that earth again,
Even when my final petals fall apart.
