Together We Bloom
(A Pantoum)
"Together We Bloom" was more than a show to me.
The crowd embraces us with warmth and awe
as we move, breathe, spin as one.
There's nothing quite like this feeling of collective joy.
The crowd embraces us with warmth and awe
once the harmonized slap of the rifle strap hits our outstretched palms,
nothing quite like the feeling, but a collective joy
that explodes with sound and light and unity and beauty.
Once the harmonized slap of the rifle strap hits our outstretched palms,
the twenty of us dance across the field,
exploding with sound and light and unity and beauty,
scattering like cherry blossoms in the wind.
The twenty of us dance across the field
as we move. Breathe. Spin as one.
Scattering, like cherry blossoms in the wind.
Together we Bloom was more than a show to me.
