Patricia Peterson
Bruises
small indignities
insults deceits
carefully stored
rub up against each other
and quietly
propagate
when ire seeps out
relieving pressure
it ignites
quick pleasure
the container is
calm, undecorated
with a tinge
of formal elegance
a certain gravitas
handsome indifference
