Charmaine Thomson

El muchacho perdido

My
heart
of silk
is full of
dissonance, fragments
Farther than islands, and rivers
Invoking Papatuanuku, Ranginui
To restore this wandering feather, this immutable treasure to his resting place.

** Ranginui, the sky father, was torn away from Papatūānuku,
the earth mother, and formed the vault of the heavens.
