We
have
wondered
about space
since first stargazing,
wondered if we should fear the skies,
fear extraterrestrials who come to destroy us.
But consider the panoply of human conflict,
wars fought for race, for greed, for God.
Perhaps aliens
who stargaze
rightly
fear
us.
