Submission Guidelines

 

Shot Glass Journal

Shot Glass Journal is an on-line poetry journal devoted to short poetry. The journal focuses on both free verse and form poetry of 16 lines or less. Issues are posted at the end of the January, May and September.

Shot Glass Journal will accept NO MORE THAN FIVE POEMS per poet, so please submit your best poems. Submissions are accepted year-round. Issues will be posted at the end of the January, May and September, with submissions closing on 1st of the posted months.

You may submit any original, unpublished short poetry with 16 lines or less to Shot Glass Journal via Submittable, our on-line submission program.

Due to the limited selection of poets per issue, response to submissions may be withheld until just prior to the journal posting. Any inquiries should be addressed to Shot Glass Journal Editor at musepiepress@aol.com.

The rights to poems that are published through Muse-Pie Press remain those of the poets.

the fib review

The fib review will accept submissions year-round and will publish accepted submissions in three issues to be published over the course of a calendar year. Issues will be posted at the end of February, June and October, with submissions closing on 15th of the posted months.

You may submit original, unpublished Fibonacci works to The Fib Review via Submittable, our on-line submission program.

Bent Ear Review

Bent Ear Review is an online journal for Spoken Word Poetry. We accept submissions in both audio and video format such as MP3, WAV, WMA, MP4, MWV, AVI and FLV. All files should be submitted via a file share service. Muse-Pie Press prefers DropBox and TransferBigFiles services but will consider recordings submitted via any other verifiable file sharing service. Please add musepiepress@aol.com as the recipient and include "Bent Ear" in the subject line or clearly indicate it as a submission for "Bent Ear" in the body of the message. Also include your name and the country in which you reside. Submission with attachments in emails will not be accepted. If you require assistance please send an email.

Poems submitted must be written and performed by the poet making the submission. Only original work that has not previously appeared online including YouTube and personal blogs will be accepted. Once accepted for inclusion in Bent Ear Review and subsequently published, the poet is free to repost their work elsewhere.

Submission Policy

Muse-Pie Press's policy is to not consider previously published poems. If a poem is posted on a blog, website, or social-networking site, or another online journal, we consider it published. If a poem is posted in a private writing forum and intended only for feedback or community support then we do not consider that published.
