Mark Allen Jenkins
The Snow Plow Driver
In between snowstorms, he paints,
thinks how the brush in his hand
is like the comma shaped plow
he pushes the cold blank black.
Everything he works so hard to remove
comes back here. So many shades
of white to cover his pine forest.
But right now, his palette is empty,
and there is so much traffic
racing across his black canvas.
