A MOVIE

(POEM TO DENISE)

 

I would like to be
in a movie where
I ride a horse fast
through the night
over fields and
woods and streams
and wooden bridges.
I want to sweat and
I want the horse to
sweat and breathe so
you can hear it.
I want to ride up to
an old cottage where
you sleep in white
sheets-your bed
like a cloud.
