commanded the brittle red sticker
flaking from the inside of my
Golden Nugget hotel suite door.

4 sleepless days,
3 short stories,
and 600 cigarettes later,
I finally felt the urge

to comply.

Randy Boone hails from Kunkletown, PA. He currently teaches writing and literature courses at Northampton Community College where he also serves as faculty advisor for the college's Poetry Club. His recent publications include poems in Time of Singing, Shemom, Long Story Short, The Penwood Review, Red Poppy Review, Heavy Hands Ink, Spout, and Down in the Dirt. Randy can often be found lurking about thrift stores, coffee shops, and candy stores.
