Tina Hacker
Needlepoint
Straight the woolen vine
plunges through the dense weave,
breaks free into the air below,
next skyward racing,
separating the forest leaves,
following the glint of the sun,
then down into the thick again
entwining two squares of universe
into one.
Bio
Tina Hacker has been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes and been Editor's Choice in two literary journals. She has a recently published chapbook titled Cutting It and her work has appeared in numerous publications such as the Mid-America Poetry Review as well as anthologies such as Missouri Poets. She lives in Leawood, KS, with her husband Lynn Norton, who is a sculptor and excellent editor.
