flight

in the light of a huge red moon
at 30,000 feet
I see the curvature of the earth

above its pull
I am the point where speed
and stasis meet

shooting star    UFO    comet
I blaze across night
suspended    between lives

one    still to be forgotten
the other
not yet invented
