my muscle atrophy and scarred
twisted fingers
drew curiosity towards the unknown,
and the fear of the malformed
evolved into the laughter
that slaughtered my self-esteem
as a child,
crucifying my future
in a basement
without hopes of resurrection,
indefinitely surrendering
to their mockery.
