Talking to Myself
Follow it, follow it, softly, slowly,
tip-toe the dream to the brow of the mind.
Chip at the fortress of fears cast in concrete,
push through the brambles of misplaced regret.
Glass-faced reflections should not dictate futures,
skin tends to taunt that the moment has passed.
Heed to the whisper of currents within, let them
lap at the soul with a tide of belief.
Focus the eyes at the edge of the earth where the
swallow is climbing beyond amber skies.
