Here is my Jumper

Here on the gritty concrete, is my jumper,
the one I placed in mummy's lap,
needing her to mind it.
She has not lifted it,
folded it once and dropped it on the chair.
She did not shout to me that she was going inside.
I am here between the houses and the silent window.

I know that I can fall through the holes in her mind
if I dare to walk there.
And when opportunities will present themselves,
I will only have half an eye.
The rest of me watches the back door, waiting.
