Simone Tropea has a degree in Creative Writing from London Metropolitan University, and lives in London, UK. She currently works in the box office of a beautiful Brutalist building and has travelled extensively. Her work has been published in Lowestoft Chronicle and Allegro Poetry Magazine.
at 3 in the morning: cinematic snow
looking out the window I spy the snow
it is only visible in the triangle of light
cast by the street lamp
like some old detective film noir.
the snow is light, and I am smug
it won't settle,
the day dwellers won't see it
but they will have the dandelions in Spring
but not the same
