I was born in the UK in 1969 but grew up in Auckland, New Zealand, where I have recently completed a Master of Creative Writing at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). I have previously published poetry in several journals and collections, and have work appearing in the forthcoming Poetry NZ Yearbook (March, 2018).

Aging

Birds vanish the last moments of grief
written on a wall now washed by rain
in a garden where the watchers sleep
and all the stones with their pieces of light
will tell us of those things.
